Marketing Tags

Marketing tags are used optimize Facebook ads for your credentials and events and to track page views in Google Analytics.
Google Analytics tag
The Google Analytics tag is use to track page views in for an organization’s credentials and events. The following pages are tracked :

Organization page

Credential Group page
-
Credential Details page
-
Event Group page
-
Event Details page
In this way, you can track your page views.

In Google Analytics, create a new property.

You may name the property
rcl learn. -
Set up a data stream with your shared or custom domain URL, eg.
https://learn.rclapp.com. -
Copy the
MEASUREMENT IDto install in the Organizer portal later on. -
In the RCL Learn portal, navigate to
Marketing >> Marketing Tag. -
In the
Marketing Tagspage, click theCreate a Marketing Tagbutton. -
Create a
Google Analyticstag and add theMEASUREMENT IDfrom Google Analytics, then click theSubmitbutton when you are done. -
You can now see the page views for a site on Google Analytics.
Meta Pixel tag
The Meta Pixel tag is used to optimize Facebook ads for a a credential or event.

In Meta for Business , navigate to
Events Managerand click on theData Sourceslink. -
If you do not have a Pixel, create a new web data source, set a name for your Meta Pixel.

Copy the ``ID` for the Pixel to install in the portal later on.

In the RCL Learn portal, navigate to
Marketing >> Marketing Tag. -
In the
Marketing Tagspage, click theCreate a Marketing Tagbutton. -
Create a
Metal Pixeltag and add the PixelIDfrom Meta for Business, then click theSubmitbutton when you are done. -
In the
Pixelpage in Meta for Business, click theTest eventstab. -
In the
Test Browser Events, add the following URL to test a a free credential or event :
https://learn.rclapp.com/Public/MarketingReturn/MarketingSuccess?sid=<your-subscription-id>
- Add you ``subscription id`` in the placeholder

You should see the
Complete registrationevent was processed. -
Also test the following URL for a paid credential or event :
https://learn.rclapp.com/Public/PayPalReturn/PaymentSuccess?sid=<your-subscription-id>
- Add you ``subscription id`` in the placeholder

To include your Meta Pixel in an ad, create a new
Salescampaign. -
Select
Websiteconversion location and select the Meta Pixel in theDataset. -
Select
Complete registrationin theConversion event. -
The pixel is now added to your ad campaign.
